The furnace was installed in 1981 when the building was built. It
doesn't have a secondary exchanger. It's a POS furnace - remember?

This is a small 6000 sq ft office building.

The NG water heater was removed a few years ago and replaced with a
small electric tank clost to the main washrooms on the second floor.
There is no clothes dryer.

You've made counter arguments, and I've rebutted.

I've taken a 25 year old low efficiency furnace and increased it's
efficiency by turning down the burners, adjusting the primary air
shutters, and closing the intake path with dedicated outside ducting
right to the cabinet intake vents.

I am not in the HVAC business. This is my own building. This is why
I don't need a permit, or inspection, or the Fire Marshall.
