Do I need termite inspection every year?

I moved to Bay Area San Francisco three years ago. I just did fumigation
about the same time last year to kill hardwood termites. Now the
pest-control company is asking me to do termite inspection again. Though it
is fee, do I need the inspection every year. I thought even I am so lucky to
have it right after fumigation, it is going to take years to see the sign or
damage of it. My nighbors will only do it every few years. So what do you
think? Thanks for your help.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have it done once a year.

Having an annual termite inspection in not absolutely necessary but it
is a valuable and proactive measure for homeowners to consider.
Termite inspections not only inform the homeowner of actual activity,
but will also alert homeowners to any conditions that may have
