I have been living in my 105 year old townhouse since 1988 and this is the first time ants have been a problem. Over the past week I've noticed them crawling on the sink and countertop, in the sugar by my coffeemaker and on the baseboard near the rear door.

Other then trying to kill as many as possible by hand and taking out garbage more frequently, what do you suggest. Where are they coming from? I should note I live in an urban environment.
