Anyone know about this?

Here is a label for Premise 75...no indications it can be used as a
fungicide and I can't recall hearing of anyone ever using it as a
fungicide.

I iooked at the label and found no indication either on msds 2.1 as well but
I just went to a Bayer training session about a month ago and the rep
indicated to the class that in fact premise 75 wp would be used for this

not sure why anyone would want to use premise as a fungicide? when you
compare cost of premise to timbor, and then consider efficacy....why
spend the extra $

if in a situation in a sub area where there was subteranian terms and fungas
could the premise address both issues since it was going to be used?? got
the idea froementatm a rep at the Bayer mobile university and didnt get to
follow up on his statement...it would actually save money if you could roll
both issues in to one treatment....THATS WHY...

I dont think you can acheive control of both your fungus and termites
at the same time: premise is used as a soil treatment (trenching
inside/outside of footers) to establish a barrier; the fungus infection
is within the wood. I question the ability of premise to stop wood
decay fungus because it lacks the ability to penetrate timbers, but it
is an exellent product for termites.
If you want one product to control both pests, you would be better
off using timbor/bora-care onto all wood surfaces (octoborate is
repellant to termites), but if it were my home i wouldnt feel 100%
confident of it stopping the sub's.
A timbor applicaiton is 40-50 cents a sq foot, and it would be best
to add that treatment to the standard termite treat if you can afford
the additional cost. Don'f forget, if you have wood-damaging-fungus,
it means excessive moisture conditions, so also address those factors
elevating moisture ...not enough vents, lacking vapor barrier,
inadequate clearance.
