I spoke with Brad Kard of Oklahoma State university in March. He does
testing of these different chemicals on test sites and on structures.

His opinion - Both are good products. Termidor does have a ability to
kill termites away from the structure, but both will effectively
eliminate termites from a structure, and both will keep them away for
many years.

My professional opinion - I currently use both, and have good results
with both. Either would be a good choice, as long as the exterminator
applies them correctly, at the labeled rate and using the amount
prescribed on the label.

I too currently use both and either of them are only as good as they are
applied. If applied correctly they are both excellent products. My first
choice of the two is Termidor but I have no qualms about using Premise to
protect a customers home.

I consider Termidor #1 Premise 2a..maybe 2b with Phantom...I have
had retreats with Premise and not with Termidor. Premise will probably
stop spot activity quicker, but a few days isn't that important.
Termidor will give more thorough control. The only thing they have in
common is they are both non-repellants, they do effect the termite in
different ways.

I use both. Since I"ve been using Termidor I've had no callbacks thank
goodness. I also use Premise. There's not much of a price difference
on the two. People ask me which one do I prefer, and it's a hard call.
The best way I explain it to the homeowner, is that Termidor is the
"Cadillac", and Premise is the "Mercedez Benz". They have a clearer
understanding. Both are SUPERIOR products. Also, Premise does go a
step further where Termidor has not. Premise will pay for up to 50% of
the damage cost if there's a breach, as Termidor will not offer this.

Good Luck.
