Would someone let me know the name(s) of an effectiveness pesticide with a
good residual life for use outside the house? I live in Virginia and I am
trying to keep a multitude of insects out of my house (ants, spiders,
crickets, etc.). The stuff I can buy at Home Depot/Lowe's doesn't seem to
work but for a few day to a week. Thanks.

I think Ortho has something called Home Defense Max which is Bifenthrin
which is probably as good as a homeowner could get. You can also find
Cypermethrin that would be what many pros have used for many years for
quarterly pest control and I have seen it at Home depot. Professionals
would have different products for different pests that would last
longer.
