Damn, I hate these things! 1st several years here in Western (Hunterdon
County) NJ, I didn't see any! Last year I took notice of them on my rose
bush. This year, all hell as broken out!

I've placed several (can't buy em anymore around here) beetle catcher bags
and have filled 4 thus far. I don't really see what good is catching
thousands when there appears to be millions!

My poor apple and birch trees!

I've just read through this http://tinyurl.com/auphq site and the
eradication of this pest seems to daunting.

I've got to mount an all out assault!

Ideas?

Thanks...

For the ornamentals use a systemic insecticide such as orthene..one
spray may be all you need...for the edibles anything labeled to use on
the plants will help though you may need to retreat every couple of
weeks and be aware to when the label says not to spray for harvest.
