With the prospect of Termidor being applied around my house
getting closer and closer, I have begun to wonder about my
dogs. I have five. Four of them will dig if they find something
"curious."

Have any of you pest control people had any experience with dogs
digging where the Termidor has been applied -- to get to the
trench with the poison, so to speak? Naturally, I'm concerned.

Also, I have a deck in the backyard that is about 18" to 24" off
the ground. How can I expect the termite/Termidor people to deal
with this deck? Will they dig a trench around the perimeter of
the deck or what?

Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of any problems with pets and termidor. Frontline for
fleas is fipronil at a strength of 9.7%, The termidor will more than
likely be fipronil applied at .06%

I doubt they will trench around the deck, they may inject the rod in the
ground around the supports. Another way to treat under the decking
without removing boards will be for them to drill a round hole through
the wood so they can treat the soil along the foundation, then come back
with a dow rod the same size as the hole drilled and plug it with that
and cut if flush with the deck. You may want to call ahead and ask what
they will do so you know for sure what to expect.
