Northeast US states have flat termite sales in general .
(Chem Co,) rep claiming termites are not swarming due to subliminal
vibration of earth due to sunimia . Cannibalization / non-feeding of
swarmers within colonies .

It was a bad termite season but I think someone has been feeding you a line.
I think Termidor and the other non repellents has more to do with it than
this "sunimia!"

OOops

I meant tsunami , like big wave.

I am in belief that , ten or so years of subterranean termite baiting , and
possibility new products have lead Termite sales flat .

If I were to start pointing a finger at the blame of termite activity
dropping it would start at non repellents. We're located on the New
Madrid earthquake fault line. We shake rattle and roll a lot here. Our
termite sales has been up this year by a tremendous margin. Unsure what
the % is , haven't put it on paper yet.

I brought this up on another message board 4 years ago. I made a
statement then that termite sales will decline due to non repellents.
Some say Chlordane was non repellent. I've read reports about it, have
worked with Chlordane for numerous years. Chlordane had a
crystallization process that gave a great lateral soil displacement.
Other words it bonded with the soil, yet like all termiticides it was
no silver bullet. Moisture and sunlight was its biggest enemy. And like
our area was once a swamp, moisture is our biggest enemy in more ways
than one.

Good to hear sales are up elsewhere .

May I ask :

Baits or chemical application at the majority of sales ?
