I am on the brink of a mental breakdown. I have been dealing with bed bugs
that I got in a furnished apt. for 7 months now. I moved out after pest
control did nothing 5 times in a row and they hitched a ride to my new
place as well. I am really looking for non toxic stuff at this poit or
anything herbal. I have used clean free and previously I used boric acid,
which didn't help. I am thinking there must be something I can take that
will kill them when they suck my blood at night. I am willing to try
anything that won't kill me too I have a cast iron stomach so I think
that will help. I have used black cohosh to prevent bites, which didn't do
much for me, but i want them to bite me and die until they're all gone!
Please help me. Thank you.

Steri-fab is labeled for bed bugs (www.sterifab.com), also N.I.C. 325
(www.nic325.com). I have heard that both work well, but you MUST be
thorough, and hit EVERY crack, every crevice - MISS NOTHING, or you
will continue to have a problem. I am not sure that using non-toxic
products is going to solve the problem.

I would call around and find a professional who has dealt with these.
Not every one has, and not every pro will know what to do.

You might not of seen the question I asked on your last post about if
you seeing blood on your sheets. With an ongoing bed bug problem you
would have blood stains on the sheets/mattresses, probably on the floor.
A non toxic remedy for non insect itching/whelps/ bite looking marks is
a humidifier, especially this time of year. It might be worth a try.
Also boric acid powder is going to be more toxic than any of the
insecticides you might try so if it turns out an insecticide is needed
let the pro you choose use what he knows will work.

halo. i'm new here (obviously since none of you have heard of me before);
but i'm very curious as to why ANYONE except for post-menopausal women
should be using a product containing black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa),
because that's what black cohosh is almost solely used for: POST
MENOPAUSE!!

please, will someone explain to me?
thanks, in advance.

Cimicifuga breaks down to cimex (bug, thought to mean bed bug) and
fugare (to drive away). This genus of plants (Cimicifuga)seem to have
an insect repelling traits to them.
