Help! Have I been ripped off - termidor?

| Hi all,
I had subterranean termites in my woodwork and the pest control company
treated the house with termidor. They claimed that they would treat
the perimeter of the house, both under the crawl space and outside.
They also claimed they would treat around each support pillar.
That was a week ago, this weekend I had cause to be under my house and
found no evidence of termidor treatment. Outside of my house there are
3/4" holes everywhere where they injected the stuff - but under the
house nothing.
My question is - do they use the same form of deployment for the
chemical under the house as around the house?
Should I be seeing evidence of injection in the soil - i.e. holes?
Thanks very much for a speedy response - I need to call them tomorrow
and have it out with them but would like confirmation first.
Ken.

They should trench around the foundation and piers then treat the area
then push the soil back into the trench. It's not always obvious that it
has been done. Paying for a soil test will be the surest way to
determine if termidor had been applied. Sorry wouldn't know where to
begin to get one of those done :/

| yes, they should have used the same form of deployment for the
chemical under the house as around the house; yet interior treatment is
less essential than exterior treatment ; so to what extend interior
treatment is performed depend on price.
And you should enjoy a one-year guarantee.
BTW how much do they charge you? or how large area?

| Thank you both.
The house is about 2000sq-ft. Supposedly I have a 5 year guarantee and
price was about $2100. The work order AND the invoice shows sub-area
and exterior treatment. The guy left his companies tag under the house
but other than that NO work was performed. Not even in the area where
the subs were found (bathroom window area)
Should be an interesting phone call today.

| The area under the house - crawlspace - would be treated using a
"trench & treat" method, as Lar explained. (The soil next to the
foundation & piers is dug out about 6" wide and 6" deep, the trench is
treated, and the soil is placed back into the trench as it is treated.)
It can be difficult to tell if a treatment was done without the eye of
an expert or a soil sample test. Don't go blasting away at the company
about not having it done right unless you know for sure that it wasn't.

| Hi All,
I had the inspector back and he agreed with me that his companies
employee had done nothing under the house. I don't beleive it was a
compnay sponsored thing and they are coming back this week to do the
job properly. I am also getting a discount for my trouble.
Thanks again,
Ken
