| I have red apple iceplants around my pool. It's no fun trying to get a sun
tan with bees flying around. How can I get rid of the bees without getting
rid of the iceplants?
(I have been stung several times while gardening. Always end up having to
get treated.)

| A non chemical way is soap and water, but alot of bees and wasp are being
attracted to pool

I tried outdoor pesticides and also a soap solution at one time, but to no
avail. An internet search for a remedy to the problem comes up empty. You
can find virtually any other topic online; but for some reason there is
absolutely NOTHING regarding this subject. Could it be that bees are the
ONLY insects that are extermination proof?

| Unless you can find the nest, the bees will come back for water and
pollination.

It could be that because bees are a beneficial insect and are in
trouble in the US, no one (present company excepted) wants to
exterminate them. I suppose you would need to kill off the hive,
including the queen. Do you really want to do that?

| It depends on where you live, in Vegas here, 98% of bees are Africanized
Bees, so it is more search and destroy.

Well it's like dealing with any other insect.. cockroaches, plenty of
ways to kill roaches but if you don't clean up the area that is
attracting them or giving them an area to harborage they will always be
there...ants, anything will kill an ant but if the nest is not treated
or what is attracting them is not addressed they will continue to show up.

Roaches come back too; but at least there are chemicals that will KILL them.

YES! As many times as they've stung me sending me to medical care, they can
ALL die. I hardly consider an insect that attacks and injures as beneficial.

Fine. Poison the area where they show up and let them continue to die.

You're probably right, but I think I'll still root for the bees. (-8

| If a honeybee hive did collect in the walls ,
then excavate the cavity .
I do suppose a shop vac cold be used over days to captures most bees ,
The rest any small amount pyrethrum base .
Don't know of the hive , don't know of the honey .
Very doubtful offspring of any Italien variety .

Yes, but you're benefitting from them every time you eat your veggies... God
has put them on the earth for a specific purpose. Maybe you can use some
repellant to keep them away from you.
