Author OT: Question for Paul
Matt

I've managed to train the cats to stay off the kitchen counters using a
water bottle.

Any tips on keeping them from climbing up sliding screen doors? Nothing
seems to work.....

Try an ounce of lead behind one ear. They say it works every time.
I has something to do with the bullet.

I've considered all these options..... but they are too messy. Were I
too go that route, I'd just put them in a pillowcase, along with a
rock, and just throw it in the lake behind my house.

Just bend their little heads back and pop their necks.

Piece of cake.

Naw, these are more or less full grown now, damn close anyway. Thats
why I asked the question in the first place.... when they climbed the
screen as kittens, it was irritating, but didn't really do much to the
screens.

But as adults, one trip up the screen could rip it to shreds. Hasn't
happened yet, but it could. After a few trips, most certainly will.

After months of screamed NO's, sprayed water, etc - the other day -

One climbed the screen, it got yanked off, and got a foot up it's XXX,
as the other one watched.

Neither has attempted a climb since.

If it happens again, then I may very well rip a flyback out of an old
TV, and it's electric screen door time.

A transformer out of a microwave oven works too.... 2500vac at about a half
an amp..... yeah... thats the ticket :-)

Yes... I agree... but perhaps I'd leave the magnetron attached, for
best results!

Only if you want everything cooked afterward to taste like pussy.

Yeah, it's all in fun isn't it? At least I hope that's true.

Hmmm .... I searched the site you linked too..... but it all seems ...
boring.

Been there, done that.

But because you had to comment, I think I shall now have some cat's
liver with a nice chianti and some fava beans.

Anything else you want to talk about, Clarice?

If you had, you'd know it wasn't a site, it was a google listing of
several hundred sites.

What, googled?

If you're going to eat it no problem. I'm sure that I've eaten some
myself give that one of the local oriental restaurants was caught
red-handed cooking them. If it was cat, then I can only say they sure
know how to cook it.

If it's a matter of utility, as in shooting a coyote that's chasing
you're livestock, then again no problem. If it's a matter of survival no
problem. But if a person kills or even just maims an animal just to
prove something, whatever that might be, then they probably have issues.
That isn't my opinion, it's a documented fact. Again, I doubt that this
applies to very many here, but then again, according to one author, the
odds are 1 in 25. OTOH, the only point I had was that it's a piss poor
attempt to get Paul's goat because it's only making everyone egging it
on look bad by comparison. Paul can be an XXX at times, but this crap is
on a level way beyond any of his antics.

My cats are too damn lazy to climb a screen. Seems after they get past the
kitten stage, things quiet down a lot.

Second thought: Why don't you trim their claws?

Man, you went way too far off the serious end.

I'd never hurt an animal "just to do it", Paul knows it, I'm quite
sure all the people who replied in this thread wouldn't either, and he
knows that too.

But that doesn't mean their posts weren't funny.

"Second thought: Why don't you trim their claws? "

Hmmm maybe I'll give that a try.... thanks for the suggestion.

As of right now, they still don't want anything to do with climbing the
screens.

This is Turtle.

I went there and scrolled down to interview of Dr. Bruse D. Perry and found one
of the most informitive writting that i've read in years. I forwarded this to
the head of social services here in Allen Paish and she was very interested in
the thoughts presented there. There has been a large number of children that has
been classed as abused but could be just hyper or reserved emotions. This
artical plaied into the research of deciding what type child they are dealing
with.

Why thank you there hvacmedic for your artical will be used a great deal.

Ooh, a typo flame.
I'm gonna go cry now.

My daddy can beat up your daddy.

You'll even call your Daddy, won't you, just as soon
as you get your fat head out from between Mommy's legs.

I take that as a compliment.
Her XXX was quite firm, really.
I did her while you were busy tatting your doilies.

But please, while you wait: Knit me a pair of stockings,
will you? I'm going fishing!
