Meeting of all ALt. Hvac people

| Geoman1 2005-11-14, 10:21 am |
| I mentioned this years ago and some were interested at that time. Or course,
that's before we all became enemies :-)
I say we all meet someones place and have a huge get together. I vote we all
meet at Turtles joint, he can get his Cajon buddies to cook up so real good
food and entertainment. We can get everyone together and hash out face to
face why the other guy is a POS and why you are so better than them, OR we
can just bury all hatchets and have a really good time. Before we know it,
some of us will be dying off and never have the opportunity to meet those we
spend so much time together with behind a keyboard.
I'm open to other places but I personally like Turtles, plenty of space,
WARM, and an interesting area and I know Turtle will put on one heck of a
party! We can have two different parties, one for the eastern part of the
Mississippi and one for the western area or what ever. I am not going to
Marc' s place though, I can't swim that far.
Who is up to it? Lets BE CIVIL and discuss this intelligently! I'm serious
about this. Mike, you can grab a ride with Junior and I if you want.,

Rich,
It works for me, and if Turtle is not able, I have plenty of room here.

Not all areas have RSES, Bill. I'm talking about a laid back meeting with
friends, not 10,000 people I don't know.

Homosexual request denied.
I bet Stormin Mormun and "HVAC fella" would go.
I can see it now, peace, love and understanding. Paul, Turtle and
Bill will have a group hug and work out all their differences.
HVAC fella might even give you a reach-a-round.
Afterwards all you guys can go help the dykes.

Well, I thought it was a good idea at the time, but I guess it isn't after
all.
I don't have a problem with anyone on this group except the American hater
Bartlett. I was planning on going south for vacation and I just may stop by
to see some of the guys on the way, if they wouldn't mind a Yankee stepping
on their property :-)
I was going through some old messages and came across an interesting thread
on Google. Turtle has some great advice back then which applies today for
this group. I don't know what really happened, everyone were friends and
then all this fighting came about.
I grew up in a military school outside Nashville Tn. from the 3rd to 8th
grade and then went to another boarding school until the 10th. I've seen
all the testosterone wars I ever want to see. Also, there are no winners,
everyone looses in this crap throwing process. It belittles the person
making the statements and insults and creates division between those who
aren't involved. This place has become 'The Lord of the Flies" .
There is nothing that Turtle has ever done to receive the crap he has been
given, and the same goes for Mike, Marc, and others. Too many good people
have left this group just in the last year, and I miss their input and
friendships. Education, language and cultural differences are no reasons to
fight about or insult others about. Skills can be commented on but not
ridiculed. Its ok to pick on a friend AS friends, but character
assassinations are out of line. I don't want to participate in any of it,
uplifting a person is far more productive than tearing down. Revelation is
one thing, assassinations are another. We don't expect to be treated with
disrespect if we are in public or at a meeting, why do we do it here? There
is a thing called being 'civil' and not acting like a bunch of spoiled kids
that think name calling is a way to solve problems and disagreements. At one
time, it may be hard to think back this far, but Paul and Turtle were
respectful to each other. The fact is this, the bigger man doesn't have to
belittle the other, the one with the insulting posts has become the smallest
of the group. To uplift another is a sign of maturity, I think we have been
caught up in the ego trip and have forgotten this. Lets be real here, Paul,
Turtle, Mike and other all have something to share in life, if you don't
like them then go to another group of people, its called 'killfile' and
'ignore'. the person you don't like or disrespect.
In real life, if some of the things were said to others face to face there
would have been a murder over it. This is not a maturity, its ignorance.
Wisdom is NOT knowledge. You can be smart, educated and a wealthy person and
not be wise or moral. Seek it out and find that I'm correct on this.
In closing:
Turtle, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Mike , If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Paul , If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Marc, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
CBHVAC, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Plank, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Oscar, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
KJpro, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Noon, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Jake , If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Vicki, If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Bubba , If I said something to you that is disrespectful, I apologize, will
you forgive me?
Anyone I forgot? the same question stands.
Turtle, if I get by your area I will try to look you up, you too Noon,
Rich

I went to the show in 2003 and met Noon and Lew Harriman, both great
guys.
Every couple of years I need to remind myself what cold weather is.

Maybe I should go this year. Anybody setting up specific Hotels to stay at
while there? I'm glad you and Bill brought this up.
I went to one about 10 years ago and loved it, but only go to know the
manufacturer reps, no contractors. We should set something up for this event
I would fly into Midway from Cleveland, the trip from the airport costs more
than the flight!
I must look up the dates.

I don't recall you ever doing that, Rich.. and it you did... I don't
take it personally. People say things all the time... in real life... on
the Usenet... wherever.
I'm not thin-skinnned (as you might have guessed) and I find many of

I'd find it very 'interesting' to meet several of you folks... and I

Who do you think start chapters? My mistake. I thought you wanted to

stormy and hacks like weasel?
That sounds like fun.

Sounds like you just want to go visit weasel. That you overlook his
portable metering device, pulling TXV guts then overcharging the system,
etc, etc ,etc.
I have the theme for the party. HVAC Hack Bash
You might want to try to make a friend or two a little closer to home.

Bill, I'm not against you and I'm not for Turtle. Read your posts buddy, you
have to get over this fighing stuff.
As I 'ranted' if you dont like his posts then kill file him, its extremely
simple.
Bill, honestly, you are an intelligent man, your posts about the trade
reveal this. but this fighting and name calling is not winning me or anyone
over. On the other hand, most are disqusted about it, its just that simple.
You have the opportunity right now to let it dye, drop it once and for all.
Kill file him, but please stop this fighting and name calling crap, enough
is enough.
You are an asset to the group, I enjoy the posts you make when you aren't
condemning others, don't ruin this enjoyment by constant policing everyones
posts. I also enjoy Terry's posts, that is when he's not fighting with you
or Paul.
Bill, you seemed to have snipped the 'ranting' part that condemns your
attitude, and that is really sad. I was hoping that you would be man enough
to say, "OK, I've said what I wanted to say and I will kill file Turtle and
those who want to communicate with him do so, I won't jump in and blast
away." That is the mature thing to do.
How about it Bill? Are you willing to be part of the group that builds it up
or tears it down? I believe a man that has your technical knowledge will do
the right thing. Whats it going to be?

Dude you haven't been paying attention. Look at the posts the last month.
But to answer your question. I'm gonna snap it off in weasel as often as
I feel like it.
Hack boi is your buddy not mine. You rant as you wish on what you want.
It's you who's looking to police the place.
You are for weasel or you would have condemned the hack shit he's posted.
weasel rants on even when nobody says anything to him. Nothing is gonna
change here.

| It sounds like a good idea to me! I'm in.
Hell, even a testosterone dick measuring contest might be fun. I couldn't
win one, but what the hell?
I spend more time with you guys than my own family or wife. Maybe a
reach-around from HVAC Smeller would be fun too.
I ain't eating no crawdads, though. If Turtle can't accommodate my tastes,
I'll be happy to bring my smoker down and cook up some pork roast and ribs.
Hell, we could even get commemorative clothing for the event, like some long
underwear from Stormin' that says "I survived the HVAC HACK BASH 2006"
You all can come down to Missouri if Turtle is too far. I can see if
someone in Branson can give us a deal. Perhaps you'd like to tour the
Nordyne factory in Boonville, or maybe the Copeland factory in Lebanon? We
have HVAC stuff here!
How about a big trophy for the "best service van" that anyone drives in?
We even have horses, Vicki! My Sis can offer boarding at her place (if you
don't mind all her quarter horses).

Now that would be cool!!!
After thinking what Bill said, he makes a lot of sense. Ashrae is around the
corner, we could all meet at a pub in the windy city and meet everyone and
enjoy the show and sights. I've been to Chicago about four times and I must
say, I love the downtown area, if you've never seen it your missing out big
time.
Bill, I'm sorry, I thought your idea wasn't that good, but now it seems to
be the wisest suggestion to come along.
The show is on January 23-25 this year. AND, South West Airlines tickets are
cheap right now, they have a sale going on.

Does that cover laptop keyboards or not? The F, U, C, K, Y, and O keys

Call Executive Services and give them the priority number 69-666-69 and you

So far, MBC has been a good company to do business with. The only issue I

23-25 January 2006? Sounds do-able.
I was going to visit Florida this month for some surfing because all the UK
beaches are closed to surfers for the winter till March. However, I have an
injured wrist. I thought there was no harm in pushing my bench press up to
140kg but during a couple weeks of that my right wrist started to give in.
It would be a wasted surfing trip going one handed. But a January meet
sounds good.

| Hmm. Wonder if they have a Mormonfest that weekend? It's kinda like Oktober
fest, but they serve caffeine free diet coke. And we all wear shorts and
suspenders, and pretend we're drunk out of our minds. As a brass band and
big tuba play. Mormons have lots of kids, so maybe might not be a good place
for potential child molestors. Unless you like small children in shorts and
suspenders, acting drunken on caffeine free diet coke.

Mine's a small village gym. On the free weights we only have 4 of the 20kg
plates and four of the 10kg plates with the bar being the usual 20kg so for
me it's four plates a side, 2 x 20 + 2 * 10.
Been doing 2 sets of 6 reps with 140kg, 2 sets of 8reps with 130kg and then
4 sets of 16reps with 100kg. Though my wrist has improved now I still wake
up with aching shoulder joints (it feels like the sockets) so I think that
is as heavy as I care to go.
> Tore a shoulder muscle, just machine weights now.
We all tend to neglect shoulders in the gym. I hadn't done proper weights
training for 18 years before July and this time I decided not skip my
shoulders like I used to.
Curling 70kg and overhead tricep extension with 100kg.
I weigh 110kg ( Lost 8kg since July) but do tricep dips with 50kg stapped to
my waist.
Getting back into shape nice and fast, looking to lose another 10kg by end
of March.
