Just that my call router failed the other day, and so I currently don't have
any auto-detection device running for faxes...so, I gotta stop whatever I'm
doing, intercept any incoming call transfer the faxes to the machine...
IOW--The fucker STOLE otherwise productive time from me.
Amounts to potential lost sales for me--and he's tying up the phone line

I"m back and don't have much time, but I have a friend who really screwed a
guy big time for faxing him stuff.
He took three pieces of paper and taped them together. Each paper read:
"I have to pay for junk fax's, see how I feel when you send me crap! Now
take me off your list or this will happen every time you fax me crap." This
one line typed and spaced evenly on each paper.
He then taped the papers end to end and ran it into his fax and when one
came out he wrapped it back to the last one, making a continuous loop. In
the morning I suppose the other end ran out of paper and film. The best way
to describe it is like an 8 track tape!

This is Turtle.
What is his main sales item for to sell. i know 3 old ladys that have
nothing to do but bug cold call spammers in town here. the three old
lady live in a subdevision all together. They get on the back porch and
discuss the calles they got. they have done some good ones. there was a
fellow selling Muffler tail pipe benders Machines and mufflers from
them. They started calling these old ladys by mistake and they ended up
having then send a $14,000.00 muffler machine to a Nursing Home and the
driver just left it out front. Then the nursing home called the police
to comer see who it belong to and they got the city to come get it and
inpound it. then by the time the company found out about their machine
was not being used or paid for. they come to get it anmd it had
$4,000.00+ worth of impoundment fees on it. Also these people could not
find these old lady to talk to them. they have pulled some good one but
everyone was cold callers.
I need to know the items they sell and any info about them. Also this
number you give is a contact number but is it used for anything else
like the fax or data transfer. Give me this info and I will go by and
give the info to them to pull one on him. Let me know and they can hook
them up.

Turtle,
Basically, he is busy trying to sellout American manufacturing jobs to
China.
If your interested then shoot me an email, I will then give you the complete
lowdown....
A group of angry old ladies with nothing better to do sounds like might be
pretty good in this situation.

Ok, I just called and left a nasty message on their machine.

Another trick is to fax them a black piece of paper, which uses up their
toner.

Okay, Im curious.
SVL,
Im just wondering.......You have already been "had" by this China guy.
He already has your number. BUT, if I or someone else calls him, he
will then have my number and bug me back? I cant block my number by
dialing *67 since he has a 800 number.
Also, all the tricks about sending him endless loop faxes or black
pieces of paper may not do anything either. If he has an e-fax or
something like that (I do, and love it) it just sends the fax
electronically and is picked up by email. The receiver just looks at
it on email and saves it, prints it or deletes it. Basically just a
minor annoyance if anything.
Let me know if Im wrong here. Id be glad to bug the China
guy...........annonymously, that is.

Yes, I suppose he could but he apparently hasn't time.
He certainly hasn't called me back as of yet, and I wasn't fucking
around--having left three full length messages on his machine in about a 5
minute time span.

Agreed, usually mine go straight to the computer--2 keystrokes and they're
history.

Maybe best to hold off now, and see if this barf bucket stops--easy enough
to pick up again if need be......
IF he does, then I'm gonna pretend to be legit--and fax him prints for about
20 dozen jobs--none of which will contract ever be awarded to him even if
hell were to freeze over.

Are you sure *67 doesn't work on 800 numbers?

And what you can do, is get a section of black poster board, slice it into
sections as wide as a sheet of paper, tape em all together, and run it as
ONE SHEET into the fax...if they have thermal paper for a fax machine, it
eats the hell out of it, slowly....and if they have a cartrige type...about
page 40 they run out of ink....
hell....I just found something to do on my thanksgiving

Oh, and BTW :
Many pbx switches will go into a "remote access mode" immediately upon
pressing either the * or # key...
Typical default password keylock being 1234, 9999, or 1111 followed by the #
sign..
IF you gain an acess, then usually its the * key followed by 2 digits that
gives you any a the re-programming options--most modern systems will have
registers 00 to 99, and many are even voice prompted.
SUGGEST turn off your caller ID transmit first, though your pretty safe if
dialing from a centrix system.

My boss said I was dumb and apathetic.
I said I don't know and I don't care...

Turtle,
Why, thank you.....
( hey, I take my compliments wher ever I can )--Just so long as you still
feel free to go ahead and fire away about it whenever you feel the need
then......
<G>
Meanwhile, expect lotsa fun dealing with these kinda guys when warranty and
technical issues come up :

Hehe...
Almost forgot about you--your yet another unsung hero, IMO.
First rule being, your "administrator" NEEDS to set a fucking
password--leaving it at default setting value being NOT an option.....
BTW: Often *99# causes a full "system reset"...
