Your steam generator is working fine, but your sauna isn't
heating up enough. That 79 % RH is fine, though.

| Not sure what else you need......550sqft. = conditioned space. 500CFM is
available supply duct size at .1
38=65psi suction 90= 168psi liquid. Superheat is 6 degrees.
System is piston oriface, R 22 obviously. Located in Western Michigan.
In my opinion unit is over sized for the structure. Other tech believes
there is a problem with the compressor valves as well. Amp draw is under
full load rateing.

| Not enough superheat, with only 6 degrees, and 38 degree ST, I wouldn't even
hazard a guess until you get the overcharge problem taken care of, until
then, you are pissin in the wind.
With 85 degree ODT, you should have approximately 20 degrees of superheat,
and around 15 degrees sub-cooling

No mystery here. You need another 500 cfm to make this thing work.

| So, is the customer complaining? Does the system exhibit symptoms? Or is the
low amps the only concern?
Does sound a bit over sized, to me. Of course, you could put in a smaller
orifice. Probably got a .059 now? Or, you could try to increase the air
flow.
With six degree superheat, it isn't carrying enough heat to supply enough
work to the compressor. Discharge pressure a bit low coming off the
compressor.
I wan't in Western Michigan last week, sorry Paul. Evacuate me.

How did you arrive at 500 CFM?

You mean liquid line temperature is 90 degree's or the condensing
temperature is 90 degree's?
Do you know the difference?
Give the raw, complete figures. If that is too tough then have a trained
tech help you.
How do you know you have 500CFM? A actual measurement, a calculation or
a guess?
Post the liquid and suction line temperatures, condensing and evaporator
temp/pressure, cond and evap coil air temps in and out, discharge temp
and the amp draw.
If you have a problem and you can't figure it out you need this info.

Two ton for 550-sqft?
How about a (1) one ton condensing unit using 425 to 450-cfm for
550-sqft; how high is the ceiling, 8'?
No 2-ton condenser will work properly with only 550-cfm!
It would need between 700 to 900-cfm to work properly.
Insufficient information to hazard any meaningful guesses. - udarrell
