Gee Whiz.... the fellow selling it must have not been making it selling
Allen Bradley I/O cards and NASCAR tickets.

And is the seller the owner of the patent, Mr. Pittman of New Jersey?

Oh, and where do I get replacement rubber bands?

Seriously, if the thing was worth ANYTHING somebody surely would have
funded a little research on it.

BTW, I don't have $1,000,000. Would the seller take $50 and throw in a
A/B SLC 500 1746-IN16?

Jake,

Note.. First line of ad reads: Up for serious bidding only..... We do
not know what it is worth. Mr. Pittman and I are partners trying to see
what the value is. It has been a very trying endeavorer to get to this
point, and sorry, the other items I have sold via ebay has nothing to
do with this project. Try it for yourself, Take a rubber band off you
desk, pull it tight(stretch), and quickly put it up to your cheak..
Hot, right? Now with it still at you cheak, quickly release the tention
(keep control of the rubber band). That instant, there is a coolness.
Imagine that on a machine that constantly produces that in a continuous
loop. Thank you for your input.

Curious is all.......how many squirrels does it take to keep one of these
contraptions operating at say a capacity of 48K btuh and what does it cost
in nuts to keep them running ???

Jason,

I believe the process might work... I just wonder if it's commercially
viable or not.

Really, asking $1M for the patent... I don't understand what that's
about unless you're just trying to stir up some interest. That's OK.

Have you done any testing on a proto? Do you have any money for that?
There are tech incubators all over the country that like to look at this
stuff and see if it's workable. Maybe align yourself with a state
University or something.

Good Luck,

Jake

I guess that would depend on the efficiency of the squirrel cage.

Jake,

Maybe a million is alot, but could you imagine if these things replaced
just 1/4 in service today because of "pollution". A million is nothing.
I wouldn't expect Joe Smo to drop what he is doing and write us out a
check. My goal is 3M... Stir up interest, I think I achieved. I would
imagine the 4 of you responding to this post, each one of you took a
rubber band to your cheak as discribed earlier...:-)

As a matter of fact we did produce a prototype and it was made from
cheap motors (Things I choose not to sell on ebay)and used cheap
rubberbands and we produced a temp change of 13 deg. below the ambiant
temp.

Besides, This is still new to us. We know what we have. It is just a
matter of finding someone with the same vision.

Thanks Again
Jason

This effect was explained way back in 1932, Increased entropy of crossed
polymer chains. Don't you think that if such a cooling system were
practical that it would all ready exist?

It's still a question of heat of compression, albeit without
phase change.

It would be greatly improved by incorporating a phase-change
approach, both in the thermal efficiency, the mechanical efficiency,
and in the ease of designing the mechanism. A study of hydraulics in
this regard would be in order as well.

And what you would end up with is something along the lines of
what we call 'refrigerants' today. Phase-change materials, changing
from gas to liquid and back.

hvacmedic,

Good call, except the fax machine was developed way back in 1843 in
England but never really became till the 80's, over 100 years later. It
may very well be a waste of time. Where would this country be if people
didn't try to make their visions reality? Thanks for your input.

Dude your stupid shit isn't heat transfer it's friction.

Please peddle your retarded 3rd grade ideas elsewhere.

Calling Turtle,

Here's another good investment opportunity.

Mr. *Hack* *Hack* *hack*/ Bill,

Nice thing about 3rd grade ideas is that once upon a time they use to
take time in third grade classrooms and imagine and study the ideas and
theories of space travel. Need I say more.

They make stuff to give cats to help aid fur balls, by the way. Oh,
thats just another 3rd grade idea. :-) Thanks for your input.

No, you don't need to say more. We pretty much got the idea you're soft
in the head.

Now that you've admitted it's a third grade idea you can take your
kiddie shit elsewhere.

Or are you going to insist on touting your motorized rubberband
stretcher?

Exactly. An air compressor would be equally as efficient as a cooling
system.

And it costs how many watts to run versus BTU's moved?

Reminds me of a solar project my employer tried -- Arkla Solaire unit,
tons of collectors, pumps, cooling tower, etc. "Free" cooling, indeed
-- it took about two hp to produce a ton of refrigeration.
