Ok tard,
I guess simple minds are harder to reach. at the point when the
"rubberband" is strectch you get heat, if that part that is now hot is
cooled to 'room temp' for arguments sake, and then released you will
still get the same temp difference but now you are getting it from room
temp rather then the heated temp. Lets say room temp is 70 degf.
stretched you get it up to 80 degrees, now instead of the band
returning to 70 deg. in the retracted section you let the stretched
part cool to room temp first, than you contract to get your 10 deg
difference which brings it down to 60 deg., now you cascade this effect
through the system till you reach the desired temp. These numbers are
just random numbers but are basically what I achieved.
