In canada, a super hi efficiency gas fired boiler (made in germany) for heat
and domestic water use costs $3500 exclusive of piping, zone valves, etc.
for a 200K Btu.

An older gas fired cast iron unit should be tested to determine its
effectiveness. Most run at 70-80%

Local HVAC morons like bubba quoted $24K for the job and subject to
additions as rads are rezoned or moved. These guys are complete nads. Looks
like they would be completely challenged just to brush teeth let alone
install anything competently.
Solution? Bought a new unit from the net and installed it myself. Figured
if these monkeys could do anything, i could do far better myself and save.
Use pex piping, its a joy to work with--a retard could set it up (and the
guys posting here are excellent examples of joe-XXX-crack retards!!!!)
My net savings, after all expenses $15,000. Too 2 weeks for me and a
helper/slugger. Rads are very heavy, near as heavy as the huge gut most of
these idiots carry around, or their bank rolls.

You could only be so lucky as to have me do your boiler installation.
Dont get all choked up about it though because it "aint goina happen".
Here is a little clue, dinwit. He quoted you 24K because he didnt want
to have to listen to you for a week while he installed it all the
while you would be hanging over his shoulder and asking retarted
questions. Sorry bout your stupid luck, moron. You couldnt install a
nickel in a gumball machine without help.........much less install a
boiler and piping. Got anymore bedtime stories Rushty?

You should go into business for yourself replacing gas boilers. I'm
sure that all of your neighbors would be lining up at your front door
to save the kind of money that you have saved.

Just remember that the PEX pipe according to the manufacturer can not
handle UV light on it for any length of time. I think I read
somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 days, just what I want in my house
for the next 20 years-NOT! Mechanical connections are good as long as
the expansion and contraction of the pipe doesn't loosen the
connection.

Please give us an update on a regular basis how your system is
operating? It would only be fair to those of us who make a living
doing this type of work, right?
