Opinions on the Copeland C.O.S.S. Seminar?

| I received a e-mail today that this seminar will be conducted next month
in South Bend, Indiana. I guess I missed the one earlier in Indianapolis.
I'd like to hear comments as to whether you all feel the presentation is
worth the three days and $450.00.

nothing ventured, nothing gained.
amazing, the rewards reaped from such a tiny investment.
you're mileage may vary.

| I don't know what COSS is but the Copeland seminar I attended in South
Africa, about 15 years ago, was just incredible. It was presented by guys
with really weird accents, American they said, but apart from that, it was
an intensely educational seminar. I would have gone again and again if I
could.

| You should be grateful they didn't have a Scottish accent.

| We got a Copeland manufacturing plant down here in the Ozarks. You should
hear the accents of the folks that work there!
Lebanon, Missouri is much like "Hee-Haw on TV"

Jake:
It is absolutely worth the time and the money.
Just the material they give you is worth the money and what you will learn
about refrigeration is worth the time
Just my $.02

Jake the School is great. But, if you can make the one that is
in the factory it is even better. Sidney, Ohio as I recall. They
let you tear down warranty returned compressors. Half of the
compressors we opened had no problem .

Could you expand on that, Barry?
I'd be interested in knowing what the most common reasons were for techs
condemning compressors that weren't faulty.
One guess would be an open thermal overload.
You took the course. Spread your wisdom!
Cheers!

Your local Copeland wholesaler does mini teardown classes. Sometimes
RSES sponsors them too.
COSS classes are put on in various cities. Ask a local RSES member.
