It'd be pretty interesting if they got it down to the <10 ton
range. Couple that with VFD fans and appropriate controls, and the
days of 'sizing a system to a house' could be over !
Given the economies of production scale inherent in that, the
price point could be far below any recip or scroll on the market
today, even with the added VFD, and the SEER's could blow todays
numbers out of the market, too.
Interesting stuff.
There could in effect be one system that could be installed in
any house almost regardless of size ( Bill Gate's house might require
several, or a larger one ), and provide excellent SEER, humidity
control, comfort, etc.
