Can't alt.hvac discuss both? After all it is a (general) hvac group.
Maybe the 'professionals' should go elsewhere if they do not want to
discuss lowly, general, public information 'hvac' at alt.hvac?

Is there an PRO hvac froup the home owners are asking questions at?
If so... why can't they ask questions at a PRO group?

Either. Or.

Is that what alt.HVAC is? HVAC related areas??
Alt.home.repair is for home repair Q & A also.

This IS the pro group, and no disrespect intended, its NOT the correct place
for homeowners.

Read the FAQ, and brush up on the way things should be done.

There is already an alt.hvac pro-series.moderated

It gets absolutely ZERO traffic.

Which, to me, demonstrates that the self proclaimed "Paul & pals
professional pricks" have zero interest in an actual forum for
"professionals" and instead like to demonstrate heir ignorance by picking on
anyone who asks a question here in alt.hvac.

Why establish another forum for "professionals" when the already existing
one is unused?

Some idiot a month ago 'started' that, did it totally wrong,
and it's just more dead-group-detritus on the long highway of Usenet.

Look, Paul appears to be a sad, angry guy living in a trailer with a bunch
of cats. He doesn't want newsgroup traffic pushed in a different direction
from alt.hvac. If participation in this group dropped off, then what would
he do? If someone spends the bulk of his day harassing posters to a
newsgroup, I would assume that person isn't getting any meaningful work
done. I don't know if Paul helped create this newsgroup. He certainly
hasn't helped to foster its growth.

Hey, how about you just give me the keys to your house and you can go
to your parents home. After all that's where you grew up, right? You
don't need to be in the house that you pay rent or mortgage payments
on, so you may as well give it to me. Makes much sense doesn't it?

Why do you think that the regulars in this group need to have
professional attached to the name? The name is alt.hvac not
alt.general.hvac or alt.homeowner.hvac as you have inferred above.

Alt.home.repair is the common sense place to go for home owners that
are looking for ideas to solve their heating and cooling issues.
Newsgroups are generally made up of people who have a common interest
in a certain subject. People are asked to bring their questions over
to the appropriate group, maybe you'd be more happy there as well.
