CB....I guy named Steve Leyland posted this at the Alt.Config

"I notice in the control message for alt.hvac some discussion of a
sci.hvac group which would obviously please the pros. whatever happened
to that?
ftp://ftp.isc.org/pub/usenet/control/alt/alt.hvac.gz"

When I opened the link, it looks to me like this current site(alt.hvac)
was set up by a guy named Alan Edmunds...or maybe he was just the guy
that approved it...Anyways, in this document that has a date of Feb
9th, 1995 it says that this group was to be a temporary group until
sci.hvac was created and then this could be deleted. Here is the text
of that:
"Thank you gor honoring this newgroup. There is a CFD/CFV for sci.hvac
in progress. This group will fill the void before sci.hvac comes
into being. If sci.hvac gets created, this group can be removed
at a future date."
it also stated....
"This group will discuss planning, design, implementation and other
things related to commercial HVAC systems."

This is rather interesting....what is your take on the meaning of
"This group will discuss planning, design, implementation and other
things related to commercial HVAC systems." It looks to me like if a
home owner is planning to install an HVAC system, he is more than
welcome to post here.

1) Your an idiot, since you post from google and even then can't keep your
fucking attributes intact....

2) If you carefully read that particular charter, you'll find it's suggested
that homeowner questions are to be answered ( if at all ) via private
email.....

2a) Difficult as it is to create a new newsgroup, even more difficult yet is
it to kill one once its been propagating and active for quite some time--(
actually, it's all but imposible )

3) I'm your Daddy, and your Momma was a was fucking crack-whore....( the
group your subscribing to exists within the .alt heireracy )--I have exactly
as much right to immediatly go into attack ( and or defense ) mode as do
you...at any point so chosen.

4) Not like somebody has a gun to your skull--*forcing* you to read ( let
alone post to ) this newsgroup...so if you don't like it, suggest fucking
just go away then...( the sooner the better )

Look, guy - I WAS THERE, I HELPED WRITE THAT 10 years ago.

And what it 'looks like' to you doesn't really interest me.

This group was formed, BY ME AND OTHERS, to be a forum for the
trade, NOT FOR HOME OWNERS, and that's the simple fact.

Whether or not you've managed to pick up on that fact in that
whole week you've been hanging around doesn't really interset me.

You have a severe case of newbyitis - I suggest you learn to
lurk and learn.
