Author Honeywell outside sensor problem
Bob

2006-02-03, 8:21 pm

I have a problem with 3 different Honeywell outside sensors. (2) C7089U1006
on 2 different TH8000 series thermostats, and (1) C7089B1000 on a T8601D
thermostat. Every few weeks, the sensors read an incorrect temperature
(usually 20 to 30 degrees higher). I've ruled out the thermostats. All three
are on the north side in the shade. 18 gauge wire, less than 50 ft. long.
There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it, and every time I check, the
resistance is fine. Honeywell says they "haven't had any problem with them".
Has anyone had any problems with these sensors?

Keep guessing, you'll figure it out. If that doesn't work then may I
suggest you go screw yourself.

Bob, are you using shielded cable for the sensors?
Bob

2006-02-03, 10:21 pm

If you mean metal shielded low voltage cable, the answer is no.

Suggest replace with like units and then environmentally test any apparently
offending sensors.

( Next question please )...

Hey BoB,
Once again, your post is too funny and revealing that you dont have
the first clue how to read installation instructions that came with
your thermostat(s).
Guess what? The answer you are looking for is clearly written in the
installation instructions. Firgure it out, XXXXXXX.

I'm not using metal shielded cable. It's standard, plastic jacketed 18 gauge
thermostat wire. The 2 on the TH stats were new wires last Aug. & Oct. Are
you saying that I SHOULD be using metal shielded thermostat wire, and that
the jacket should be grounded?

Don't forget to lick the wires before hooking them up.

Then lick the window.

You should get to know Shaun. He's had a sexual fixation on Paul for
years. Maybe you can teach him some shit eating things and he can get
you in the Paul fan club.

So tell us "Bob". What got you into eating shit?

Heh, heh, heh. Anybody with any brains knows I would NOT be around you;
especially when you are are pulling something out of your arse. I believe you
hold the worlds emergency room records for quantity of objects removed from
your anal orifice - including but not limited to gerbils butt plugs, plungers,
corpse penis, vibrators still running with good Energizer batteries, tree
growth spikes and other documented items too numerous to list.

Leads me to the question - do you like the Energizer Bunny ot the Coppertop up
