hey there!!
i definitly could use some advice! i have an old wayne hho not
firing?!! before my burner completely quick it would just not fire up
every once in awhile! i could see through the gap were the transformer
sat that there was spark, now i don't notice any sparking at all, but
it definitly seems to be getting fuel! my ?? is would the transformer
be shot (seems like a good assumption to me) could there be something
as to a safety device that shuts off the spark if there is air in the
system or another problem causing no spark?? or could the electrodes on
the gun be bad! im not really sure how to test these ideas!

any input would be greeeeaaatttt!!!!!!! thanks
mark

Hey.... no problem.... Here is the solution(s) to your problem...
1) have seasonal service done *before* you need to depend on the unit to
work correctly
2) when it *starts* to show signs of not working right, call a tech...don't
wait till fails completely on Saturday then post on a NG
3) bite the bullet, and let your fingers do the walking.

It's all of those things. Replace the thermostat and that will fix
everything.
