I'm with a church in a city of approx 100K population. Someone just donated
a 15 ton Carrier brand a/c compressor unit to us. We're considering selling
it, if there's any market for this kind of thing.

What we've got is a Carrier unit, in good shape, approx 6 yrs old. What
does a new one cost (ballpark guesstimate)? Any idea what we should ask
for this one just to get negotiation started up?

What is the logical way to advertise it? Just run a classified in our local
paper? Anywhere else come to mind?

Offer to give someone $ 10 to haul it away, be prepared for
the cost to increase a lot. maybe all the way up to $ 50.

Maybe it would be better to try "craigslist.org" or something. Posting
here's kinda worthless. Sometimes we "recycle"the copper, and trash the
rest of the unit, but that's about it.

How about $800 to $900?
Oh yeah, you will also need to pay the shipping to me.
Tell you what. You send me $900 and I'll pay half the shipping.
I have a few junk guys to haul if off for scrap then.
