Dood, it's a fact of life. Without Carrier, most ac repair companies
would be out of business.
when the blower motor cranks to a fucking halt as you say, is there
still power being applied to the motor leads?
if not, find out why not. if yes, replace the motor and capacitor and
be done with it.

Sounds like you have a problem, and your furnace does too.

Its got nothing to do with "lube"

Define "ripped off"....could it be because you called everybody in the phone
book looking for the cheapest one instead of the best one?? Sucks very much
bad to have to pay for a noob's training, doesn't it. How many trips and
parts did you have to pay for before they found the one that fixed(?) it??

Too late. and as Fish said, Carrier is one of our biggest money makers.

Carriers are well-known for having this problem. Upon initial inspection by
most technicians, it appears to be caused by a defective blower motor
assembly or even the motor control circuitry. However, the problem is
always traced to a defective thermostat.
Replace your thermostat, preferably with an expensive digital one.

Nates not new...and unlike you Mike, he had the balls to not work for
someone else, and owns his own company.
I know him personally, and I doubt you have the balls to meet the guy face
to face....then again, you might be stupid enough to...

Here's what to do:
Forst lube the shaft with snake oil, and turn 10 angry squirrels
loose inside the cage. Then, hire a few motor-mouths from this
newsgroup to shout into the return register.
