It's not like it's rocket Science!

| I have a toothache.
It's been hurting for a year now.
I've never brushed my teeth because I heard it's a waste of money, and
those dental hygenists don't really do a good job anyway.
My dentist said I need extensive work, but he charges a lot of money and
drives a nice car, so he must be a crook.
I think all dentists are crooks because they make more than me, so don't
fucking tell me to go to one!!!
Anyway, I own a 3/8's cordless drill, and I'm thinking, "Hey, this ain't
rocket science. Anyone can drill a hole, right??"
So tonight I'm going to fix my own teeth. I feel pain in my entire right
side, so I'm just gonna drill away until I find the one that's causing
all the trouble. I'll show those thieving bastards that they can't rip
me off! How hard can it be, right?
Training, courses, manuals, who needs that shit.
Next week I'm fixing my own hernia.
Wish me luck!
By the way, what the hell's a root canal?
Do I need a boating license for that?

Come on! I'm serious (in a kinda', sorta, maybe way) :-).
I need some home owners to tell me how to repair my teeth.
How hard can it be, right?
Maybe I should post in alt.oral.surgery

post this question in alt.general.medical not in alt.oral.surgery.
Geez, ANY moron would know that you don't post oral surgery questions
in a newsgroup called "alt.oral.surgery".

| We should blame the manufacturers. Those guys
are now composed of designers and engineers who are
themselves home owners. They have a conspiracy to
make their products user friendly. Aparently their management
has taken into consideration the ageing professionals
in the industry. And not very many young ones are taking up the trade.
They compensate for this by making products that are 'easy
to maintain' to minimize training expenses for their distributors.
Manufacturers' goal is to be independent of professionals.
It happened in the computer industry. It will happen in other
industries. So let us enjoy the present 'good feeling' bec.
the future is bleak.

Actually the manufacturers are making equipment more complicated....
especially the control systems. At this point, the changes are largely due
to government mandate in an attempt to raise the efficiency standards.. The
basic equipment is, for the most part, the same technology....the only real
changes as I said before are the control systems.... Master controls telling
the induhvidual equipment boards what to do.
In my estimation, the governments goal is to reduce energy consumption, so
the existing power grid will handle the load and the power companies won't
have to upgrade their distribution systems....that would cut into their
profit margins, and they have a much bigger lobby (more dollars)through the
PUC with DOE than all of the HVAC industry combined. Its the "golden rule"
in play.

It may not be like rocket science, but it likely
involves much calculus.
Sorry if this hurts your fillings, but you seem
abscessed with the notion. So quit jacking your jaws,
and get to the root of the problem. You know the drill.
