I have had 4 blower motors go out in as many years. It is a Trane
system. Also, the noise level of air through the ducts has always been
VERY load. Help.

Sounds like time to call a *competent*, licensed, insured, professionaly
trained, HVAC technician to correct the ductwork sizing issues.

Normally, this is an easy fix by replacing the thermostat with a new
digital programmable model.
However, after careful study and many years of testing, it has been
found that most problems are remedied by replacing all of your low
voltage thermostat wiring in the home to your system. This gives your
system and "Energy Boost" and usually everything will work great
again.

I thought DuctBoosters=AE were the proven solution.

But what a mess they make when they derail.

Improvements in Technology. Low voltage wiring is now turbo charged
with WireBoosters@

You will need to call in someone who is competent in system analyzing
from a design standpoint ... someone who is good at determining the
correct size of Ducts , airflow requirements, and load estimating. The
problem youre having isnt going to go away and its warning you
something is amiss.

What brand of thermostat do you have? Sounds like the relays can't handle
the proper amount of current and the motor is getting voltage drop.

You may need a thermostat-booster to fix it.

You can do a lot of reading to learn a little, but you will still need
some professional competent help.

Blower motor speed/HP mismatched to blower wheel, or blower wheel out
of balance.
