| Its a hot water heater not a heating system so a digital thermostat
wouldn't do much. I guess I meant reostat not a thermostat. My dad
was a master plumber for 35 years and I started working with him since
I was ten so I know my way around. The burner was cavitating and the
new pump fixed that problem. The transformer was left over from my
dad's business and matches perfectly with what was there and was worth
a try. It is 3 wires so no brain surgery needed. I've tuned, vacumed
for the last 14 years and have even changed the firebox. I would still
apreciate help if anyone is interested in helping instead of trying to
scare me.

Whoopee. So, in 14 years of your 'great experience' suckin
soot, you STILL don't know how to fix the fuckin thing ? THAT'S sad.
Wow, you even changed a whole firebox once. I'm Sooooo
impressed.
>apreciate help if anyone is interested in helping instead of trying to

If you're so fucking good, get it fixed.
If you have to ask strangers on the Internet for why the reset
trips, fucking leave it alone.
Obviously, you're one of those helpers / gofers who thinks he
has a clue. You don't. And you're going to get someone killed.
Hopefully it's only yourself. I hate seeing innocent people and
critters getting hurt.

Obviously, those 35 years didnt rub off a bit on you.
You think a hot water heater has a reostat and you can use leftover
look-a-like parts to fix up your heater. 14 years is not enough. Maybe
try another 30 and come back and tell us if you fixed it or not.

Im 120% with the others in here...only..let me add this...
You sound like you dont have a fucking clue.
If you did, you would have fixed it, not thrown parts at it, and not had to
ask what was wrong.
Also, no one really gives a fuck what your old man did, its obvious hes not
there to fix it for you, otherwise, again you would not be posting begging
for help as it were...altho, most plumbers here, dont do what you are
talking about...

That explains it. You're one of those really REALLY stupid folk that
are too dumb to know to change your own dirty filter so you had a
service tech come out on a Sat night to do it for you and your are
still whinning about the $150 they charged you to do it.
How's it feel to be that damn stupid even with you having a so called
plumber background?
Life must suck to be you.

That explains it..... You "worked as a plumber"...that doesn't mean that you
*are* one. Calling a plumber to do HVAC work is like calling a proctologist
to do you dental work.
FWIW, if you actually called a pro, instead of calling around for the
cheapest price, you would have had the problem correctly diagnosed, and
repaired on the first trip with the correct parts, and a warranty.

Actually moron, those of us that know what we are doing, dont charge for
callbacks on repairs not completed correctly the first time...but then, if
you know what you ARE doing, there inst a call back.
Would you rather replace $200 of parts on your own, and not find the issue,
but have that feeling of done it yourself, or spend $75 with a guy that
fixed it right the first time?
Lemmie guess...
Whatever gets it done in the most peaceful way...
No wonder I hate bleedin hearts.

| Your right... that $75 just gets them to the door, and diagnose the
problems. To actually repair something is gonna cost.
Just keep in mind that they are bringing their "shop" to your door, and you
called them... Its not like you were in the mall just walking around and
wandered into the Sears repair center.
