Just imagine the amount of restitution that has NOT been paid to the heirs
of the victims over the past 26 years.
This is one more example of the US criminal/justice system creating an
environment of self justification.

I had a glance at his platform back in the day. He claimed to be a
Republican but his platform was a Democrat wish list.

I (clearly) don't understand the restitution approach.

politicians and Nobel laureates) really have no interest in him other than

Restitution is an attempt at what Black's Law Dictionary calls *making the
victim whole*.
And its woefully missing in todays justice system, misplaced by revenge and
vindictiveness that benefit no one.
