P. Fritz, I just got back from Bucharest yesterday and I KNOW I saw the
building you mentioned a while back in this thread. I thought I had
seen the one you mentioned, but I was confusing it with another one.
The one I just saw was near the city center next to a large plaza. It
was probably a 3-4 story older stone structure, with a 4-5 story glass
box jammed on top. I was walking by with a coworker and he goes "check
out that building", and I instantly thought of the one you mentioned.
I have to give some credit to whichever architect had the audacity to
do that to an older building. ;-)
It was pretty close to one of the main city plazas that has that big
monument that looks like a giant toothpick with an olive stuck on it.
Martini Plaza? ;-)
I wish I had my camera with me, but didn't take it on this trip. I'm
now staying at a hotel near this building, so I'm going to try and take
a shot of it next time I'm there in January. It's a pretty quirky
building.

You have to love people that try to cross over NG's and stir up crap, out
of context, and in a middle of a thread that has nothing to do with
it...........which is obviously what Ken is trying to do............and like
it has never happened before. Next, he will probably accuse me of being
'Ken Pangborn' LMAO. But then that is USENET, and that is what
killfiles are for, and that is where 'Ken' is going.

I dropped in at rec.boats last night, the first time in a year or more and
WOW, the arguing has taken over that place hasn't it?
I saw basskisser changed his handle, must have got slammed by his ISP.
I didn't sort through the 60k messages, just sort of skimmed the surface.
My cuz is getting ready to buy one of those new Yamaha double
engine/jetdrive boats for about $35k, have you heard any negatives about
them?
(the competitor claims the intakes clog with seagrass but Yamaha says the
reverser blows the debris out)
They look pretty cool, especially for shallow water (2' or less) and will
flat out haul XXX. Unless it has serious issues I hope he gets it before I
move out of here.
320 HP., yeeeowwww
