I think that is probably the latter. It's pretty typical in all of the
old Warsaw Pact cities. Although, some of the newer construction going
on in the post communist period seems to be much better. I think the
influence of western europe is having a positive effect on the whole
construction industry there.

I've seen this one. Gotta love those environmental graphics on the
outside. LOL

I used to stay right next to this monstrosity. You definitely can miss
that frickin' thing.

These were the typical ones that I thought were over 40 years old, and
then found out they were built in the early 80's. My client is also
developing a large amount of new residential units in the city, which
are evidentially in high demand. They are doing much higher end stuff
than currently exists there. There seems to be a real housing shortage
in the city these days, especially since the cost of living is going up
dramatically, and people want to live is a much nicer place than has
been available in the past.

I haven't gotten to that region yet, but heard it's really nice. I'm
actually starting to just get worn out completely with going there
period since the project has been draggin' XXX for almost 8 months.
Ready for greener pastures, and put Romania in the rear view mirror.
We just got a call for a potential new project just outside Prague.
Now, I will volunteer for that one. ;-)
