I can't believe you called me ignorant for that. You really do like to
be an XXXXXXX sometimes Don, but I'll let it slide this time. Sorry but
Icons are for dummies. I don't care how few you've got, I can hit one
key faster than it takes for me to move my mouse up to a toolbar click
and move it back to where I was working. In my case my mouse never
moves from where its working.

Second of course I use snaps, grid on the other hand is pretty useless
unless you always draw to perfect squares. I prefer instead to use
polar tracking in conjunction with snaps. Its like ortho but much more
usable. Its the way I get things done, and I would gladly put it up to
a test to see who's faster. By using icons, YOU obviously don't know
what fast is. Icons are teh suxors...hahaha.
