Would love to know where I can find a simple program that will allow me
to draw up a set of SIMPLE blueprints on my existing house.

Something like smallblueprinter.com does, only offline!

Something that even a complete doofus, such as myself, cannot screw up.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
B. Bryant

Paper and pencil! Seriously, that's the best option that most people tend
to overlook.

Something like that would best be done on graph paper with a pencil. Other
than that, Google Sketchup is fun to play with.

As an alternative to hand-drafting, there's also the simple and intuitive
QCAD:

"The CAD System For Everyone"

Thanks for all the replies. As it turns out, smallblueprinter.com does
have a downloadable version of their program. Voila - problem solved.
