asbestos likely in roof structure?
|
|
|
| Municipal hall constructed in the early 1960s in UK (south east England).
Brick masonry walls, pitched roof - span about 10m/30+ feet, pitch about 30
degrees, concrete precast/prestressed.
Is this structure likely to contain asbestos?
And if it is, in what form is it likely to occur?
Any thoughts on this one gratefully received...

Do you mean just in the structural system or in the entire building?
If the entire buildings, yes unless it has been removed. Check pipes,
fireproofing, windown caulking, and floor tiles to start.

There's a good chance.
Why do you ask? There is more risk removing it than leaving it alone.
