If a Super Building project is started with Federal Funding there would
be little reason for people to protest. No one would be 'forced' to
live in the building. Capitalism would sell the units.
This is why the design of a very large building must be attractive.
Large open spaces filled with stores with huge hallways leading to them
will add to the attractiveness of a big building. Theatres wiith high
ceilings and, perhaps, even a super dome sports stadium on the roof
would draw people.
The 'alternative' is terrible. Poor starving people living in squalor
being herded into huge poorly designed buildings is one possibility.
Another possibility is poor starving people being taken out into large
fields where machine guns will kill them. At such a point -- some 50
years in the future -- a Civil War will be in it's final stages.
Personally, I prefer the Capitalistic apporach where no one is forced
to do anything except live the way they want. Properly designed, the
Super Buildings will be the most sought after real estate on the
planet.
