I sent Pete an email yesterday, he just now replied.
He's doin OK but seems to have relocated maybe more than temporarily from
Scottsdale, Az.
Here's his reply :

Hey Don. Seventh of January I picked up my boots and drove back east.
Working in my parents' basement, sleeping in the guest room and attending
classes at the B.A.C. Don't have that much time to feed to newsgroups and
the (frickin') ISP doesn't have a feed anyway. (Yes, I know about web
options.) Hope y'all are doing fine without me. On my way back I looked up
an old friend I'd been trying to shun for gettin' on five years. Don't know
where that'll go from here, but it's good to be rid of the bile. Not being
alt.architecture resident XXXXXXX is also good for my mental health. Which I
totally need because programming computers makes me unhappy as it makes me
money and this one TA I have is God's own sock full of mashed potatoes.
Perhaps the first "teacher" I've ever had with an actual negative value.
Classes are OK, though I don't get studio in first semester (what a rip
off). I've learned I can draw better than I can; pleasant surprise (still
ain't no Picasso).

The office in Phoenix may or may not get me a chance to redo and improve The
Movie (technically it sucks, but I learned a lot and am reasonably proud and
everybody adores it).

That's good to know. I hope his classes go well and lead to success (i.e.
personal satisfaction, be it money or less tangeable rewards, or the best
of both ;) )
