Well I did say 'sorely tempted'. Small differences can make huge
differences when they affect entire populations. I guess that's an

I imagine that the animals were saying 'there goes the neighborhood'
upon the arrival of the first North Americans. Now it seems, the
neighborhood is, more so, the planet.

I said 'cut down', not eliminate. But, I read (present tense) what
you're saying and might agree. I think much has to do with balance and
intelligence...

It can be.
It can also be built-in contradiction or paradox... Could the universe
have insanity built into it? I don't see why not.
