Check out our self storage unit that we're renting while we're between
homes:

http://www.mynewoldhouse.com/house/...lf-Storage.aspx

We're pretty proud of how carefully and tightly we packed it. But that
was a long Labor Day weekend of packing and moving.

It is a fine line between blogging and obsessing. ;-)

You mean there's a line? :-)

Come on, it's fun! For months I annoyed the hell out of all of you
with my questions. Now you get to watch the house finally get built.
That's entertainment!

Not with ads. Are they still there? I'll check it out if you get rid of
them.

No issue with the construction, but pictures of your storage

are you having for dinner, I could use some ideas.

My wife would kill me if I get rid of any more of her junk. I've been
warned twice.

No, it's just your typical self storage "mall." They're eyesores in
the community, but they sure come in handy when you have a bunch of
junk and no room to store it.

Why not just put "Contents of Storage Locker" on Ebay. Then tell the
boss/wife that you forgot to pay the rent and they threw out your
stuff. Meanwhile, you'll have poker money for boy's night out. :-0

Can you post some pictures of stop signs? I'm really curious what a
stop sign looks like where you are. And a coat hanger. That would be
great. Thanks.

John, any chance we are gonna get a live webcam any time soon?

I'd really like it if you could find a good vantage point to mount it.
Also, please work in web controls so that I can pan, zoom and freeze frame.
Oh, and if you can, please add motion email notification.

Thanks,

jojo

Okay, that's pretty darn funny and well deserved.

Hey! I'm sharing the building process, alright! ...the *ENTIRE*
process. It is what it is. Think of it as a scrap book, which are
usually equally boring and pointless.

I hope you're not in Wisconsin. You would be arrested and charged with
"Contributing to the Delinquency of a Husband." This is a pretty
progressive state. To all fans of "The Man Show": move to Wisconsin at
your peril.

Then you'd be in awe of the 3 I've been using since APR.
10'x10' with a vaulted ceiling, packed airtight from floor to ceiling.
Some of the lower boxes have collapsed but nothing has fallen over due to
how tightly everything is packed.
13,000 pounds of shit........

I have to get this GD garage built!!!!

Speaking of coat hangers, did they go the way of the buggy whips?
I need a standard metal coat hanger and all of ours are those plastic ones.
Last time I was in Walmart I looked for the metal ones but to no avail.

(I need to *find* a ceiling joist in the ceiling of the dining room so that
I can hang a heavy fixture. I am going to drill a hole right in the center
then insert a thick wire that is bent 90 degrees and try to find the ceilng
joists so I can install a support bridge them to carry the fixture. Guess
I'll have to buy some heavy gauge wire somewhere instead)

Seems like class warfare to me. Only the rich can get wire hangers.

<sarcasm>

He probably has the same problem I do with stud finders. As soon as I
get within 10 feet of one, it starts going off.

They need to invent a device that detects non-studs instead. Then
people like us could use such a device to find a spot on the wall where
the device *doesn't* go off, and there's your stud!

Cause I can't find it !!!!!!!
I have 2 of them but they are in a collection of hundreds of poorly labeled,
if labeled at all, boxes in one of my 3 storage units.

Besides, the way this house is built, there's no telling whats up in that
ceiling.
