These are two perspectives of a lovely rebar nest that I had the
pleasure of coming upon, of the giant bird of the same name, which took
advantage of the space available after the demolishing of an unsightly
above-ground parking-lot.
The graceful Giant Rebar bird, incidentally, is known to frequently take
advantage in this manner of recently-cleared urban spaces, and can be
found in the wild taking little bits and pieces here and there of wild
rebar for the contruction of its nest, while voraciously feeding on some
of its favourite meals, such as the unicorn, and the wild Sasquatch.

Sweet, thanks.

That brings a tear to my eye.
To think, somewhere there is a rebar detailer that worked his rear end off
to all of those bars detailed correctly, just to have them wind up in a
bird's nest.

I feel your anguish...

(a moment of silence, hangs in the air like... like icy morning dew, on
a long-abandoned spiderweb...)

..=2E.But it was a fairly old above-ground parking lot that had seen its
fair share of automotive use and abuse over the decades, so I think our
heroic detailer would at least be satisfied, if not pleased, as to the
majestic remanifestation of the new work.

You realize, by the way, that, naturally, and in all likelihood, you
would be written into these children's stories if they ever came to
light, as would many others here.

And don't forget, unless there's an empty lot replacing it, maybe another,
younger, RebarGuy will have another project to detail...maybe his very
first...

They are in amazingly *clean* shape.
Somebody took the time to knock all the concrete off of em.

The demolition around here has been doing this lately. One place actually
ground up the *concrete* into a fairly fine material, then what I'm not
sure.

What a lucky find. It's not often that species allows one so close to
their nest.

I know that Decomposed COncrete can be used as a type of Paver Sand, and
otherwise used similarly to gravel or sand.

I think it can also be used as part of the aggregate for new concrete for
some uses, but I don't remember all that well so you'd have to check.

18. Rich people take the time to clean their rebar nests. Poor people
live amongst rubble.
