| Referencing Bush's SOtU address tonight:
Ed Gillespie, the Virginia Republican chairman and White House confidant,
said he expects a "good chunk" of the speech to be devoted to developing
alternative energy sources.
Welp, there goes the future.
Every goddamn thing these assholes touch turns to shit instantly.
I personally have high hopes of what rugged individualists will do over the
next 10 years in regards to advancing alternative energy sources and uses
but when the gov't starts dangling carrots and threatening with sticks, as
well as stealing vast amounts of resources, you can bet your last bottom
dollar that the best minds will turn their efforts elsewhere, to places
still under the radar screen.
Dangling that rotten carrot will bring every deviate in the world out of the
darkness flooding the market with trash and in turn souring the customer
base to a new way.
Swinging the big stick will cause the genius's to fear retaliation of
financial disaster.
10 years from now things will be worse than they are and for some a valuable
lesson will have been learned and for everybody else the trains will be
running on time.
I'll never get used to the sickening advancement of mind control of the
masses.........

Lot of truth in that.
If some guy invented a battery that could
power your home and/or car for a year he'd
be squashed, list your enemies, engine
manufacturers, utilities, oil companies, and
most especially tax collectors. Citizens
would become less dependant on the system
and govmint would loose tight control of your
nuggies. OHNO, freedom could run amok
and everybody could become godless
anarchists. Pope won't allow that!
