I wish I could remember the exact wording but today instead of the
little message that says buy a certificate at the Credit Union and get
4.14 % , it said something like 20,000 more troops sent to afghanistan
to make up shortfalls in NATO partner obligations, something like that.
I was kind of astounded to read this, even though it was a federal
credit union. The audible gasp that went through the poeple in line at
the wording, much less the message, was collective and incredible, sort
of a long sad sigh. Of the two conflicts, probably there is more
support for the Afghani conflict because of the general American hatred
for even the concept of the Taliban and its rule, and for the actual
proximity of the Al Qaeda to the area and the need to make Afghanistan
something better than it has been for decades. Still, the idea of such
a troop commitment was a shock.

Yeah, right after I hit send.
Do my best thinking in the shower.

HA! That very thought came to mind just as I hit the button.
While I was typing that last message I remembered seeing a japanese guy on
the toob some years ago that also did his best thinking in the shower and he
invented a waterproof pen and pad, and then I instantly thought about a
waterproof laptop.

In your case, as another poster pointed out, arrogance.
And as several other posters have mentioned, your addiction to envy.
Both are self made and silly and a direct result of laziness and cowardice.
