What is the conduit? Metal could be considered the ground so the three wires
would be OK. If its not metal then you need to pull a seperate ground. At
least this is what is considered the norm for wiring. Maybe generators are
different? But someone will still need to know what the conduit is.

| It won't be conduit. It'll be cord like welder pigtail or dock power cords.
