I have two new freeze proof faucets put in by a professional plumber. They
both leak. I am not anxious to pay them to return even though they do this
for free. Is there a web page or a reference for a DIY repair of this
problem

Pay them to return even though they do this for free? If they do this for
free, why would you have to pay them????

And, how new is "new", and where are they leaking? From where you attach the
hose, or somewhere else?

I also have a leaking freeze proof faucet. It's been leaking since I've
moved in, so I can't say hold old it is. I assumed it was leaking because
some rubber gasket needed to be replaced, but I haven't fixed it yet. After
a little searching, I found the above link with a nice cut away picture. I
figure that replacing the rubber backflow preventer and any other rubber
part I find in there should fix the leak. Hope that helps.
