To the True Believer, membership in the movement is much more important than
the goals of the movement itself. Think about it; if the movement succeeds,
the individual members have lost their reason for existence.
In the instant case, the Ronulans don't actually CARE whether Paul is
elected, being part of something beyond their own miserable lives is what's
really important.
