Gender is immaterial. That is my very point. And, of course you know
it. Sadly, your post is just creates obfuscation and confusion. In
another posting you refer to me as a 'troll' but remove the newsgroups
the posting doesn't appear in all the groups.
You overlook the fact that it was you who raised the question of gender.
If your memory serves you correctly, I replied to say it was not
important.
Permit me to assist your memory by restoring some of the text which got
snipped out in your last few posts. if you don't mind, I'll use
capitals for clarity. Excuse me if I give the impression of shouting.

I MADE THE FOLLOWING POST AND IT CONTAINS NO EXPLICIT OR IMPLIED
REFERENCE TO GENDER --------

YOU REPLIED WITH THE FOLLOWING POST -----------

Did you notice that you wrote the following:
"One can understand why the women here might abhor
a knowledgeable person who can contribute more
than they on a variety of topics".

I NOTICED YOU BROUGHT UP THE MATTER OF GENDER AND I REPLIED -----

Now then. Did you notice the bit where I wrote,
"You also mention the matter of gender".
In that same post, I then asked you,
"What makes you think the poster with the name donna is a woman?"
In fact, what does it matter? Why did you bring up gender at all? I
went on in my post to explain how I would suggest you do not focus on
gender because the gender of a poster is usually unknown.

YOU THEN MADE THIS BIZARRE POSTING WHICH SEEMS TO MISUNDERSTAND WHAT YOU
SAID YOURSELF -----

There is an old trick of switching the blame by using confusion. I'm
sure it just an error but you remove newsgroups without giving
notification which would makes it difficult for this branch to be
followed by anyone unless they are in a ACF.
Turning to a related subject, I posted yesterday to ask where one of our
more, er, unusual posters in ACF had got to. I mean Hummingbird.
Are you actually Hummingbird?
Is Donna actually Hummingbird?
Meanwhile, when you get a moment perhaps you or anyon else might like to
do a little more background reading and take up my earlier suggestion to
look at Donna's delightful posts to alt.comp.freeware in which she
claims she want to redesign the higher levels of Windows XP. No one is
quite that stupid. Not even the poster called Donna.
Then watch Donna's development from being a gauch cross-poster and
apparent total newbie develop over a long and gently period up until
Donna gives over-effusive thanks for help which was never actually given
to a problem whose answer Donna knew all along. Then move on and start
again reeling in those who are so half-asleep they do not know what took
place the first time.
Start your reading with this thread in alt.comp.freeware.
(1) How to manage the WinXP start menu OUTSIDE of "Documents and
Settings"?
Then move on to the delightful tour-de-force seen in ACF in:
(2) Is anything major missing from this first-pass freeware filing
system by FUNCTION (not by brand)?
Watch & smile as you see once again the reeling in of punters in ACF
although some have started to get quite wise to what is happening:
(3) Stopping Sporge tutorial using NewsProxy (where do we get
nfilter.dat)?
Switch newsgroups and watch a replay. This time we start with a sweetie
of a troll designed just for those in alt.home.repair:
(4) Amana Air Command 80 Gas Fired Furnace (4 blinks) troubleshooting
See the development and the near-continual payoff taking place in the
current magnum opus in AHR:
(5) Quick basic advice on a dripping gas 40-gal hot-water heater
Notice too how some are so drawn and re-drawn into this invisible but
sticky web. They can not see what is happening even after they have
been shown.
Best wishes.
