Burn wood. Wood IS solar energy. The only CO2 released is that which was
absorbed by the living tree from the air. The sun produces the trees. The
trees are solar energy.

We do heat with wood, but it's silly to burn it all summer when the sun
is shining. Solar water heating produces zero emissions, and saves yyour
wood for cold weather.

They make wood fired water heaters. Solar is good if you live above the
clouds. Solar falls short on moon light.

I have a wood fired water heater. As I said, I am trying to reduce my
wood usage during the hot sunny summer months, so we use solar to add
heat to the hot water storage tanks. No wood needed until fall and winter.
