Reminds me of the story of the wealthy industrialist who is visited by
the liberal type of his day, who makes a pitch for some of the
industrialists vast wealth, for a "returning to the community" kind of
gesture. All the while the industrialists says nothing, but does ask his
aide a couple questions, in confidence. When the aid returns the wealthy
individual does a quick calculation and turns to the "schnorrer" and says
"Based on the current balance of the company, and the latest population
figures, I've computed your fair share. Here's your 35 cents. Good day."

Exact 2K4 percentage......7.44 percent
only a little over two percent increase...increased cost because of
hurricanes lowering increase...??
Income tax....6.09 percent....they collected taxes for the
government equal to over one half their profits...

Probably....????
Just ran back over my figures with calculator..came up with
same figures....
If I did misread would appreciate if you would show me where...
Just off top of head....100 billion in sales......10 billion in
profits sure seems to come up to about 10 percent......10 cents
on each dollar of sales....
Is the reason I started checking on it....heard the numbers on
radio and was immediately obvious ....
Is reason gave link to quarterly report....so if I messed up someone
could let me know where....
thank you for your help......sno
