The freezer is question was a LeMair brand which had been 'professionally'
converted to a fridge with a Danfoss compressor. What happened was
electolysis between the thermostat and compressor gas tubing within about 2
years. The manufacturer claimed it would not have happened in a freezer..
This may be an isolated or uncommon problem but I caution readers to be
aware of this potential risk.
